PODCAST ROUNDUP

Working at a desk all day can be pretty tiresome, especially while doing those menial tasks like paperwork and filing. One way I like to break up my day is by listening to podcasts! I also love listening to them as I drive.

I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite podcasts at the moment.

1. My Favorite Murder

I. Cannot. Stop. Listening. I started listening to this podcast a few weeks ago and I am beyond obsessed. I really love true crime stories, and the two hosts, Georgia and Karen, have an amazing way of approaching the subject. This podcast is funny and engaging and interesting. While murder and comedy don’t seem like a likely pair, this podcast proves that they are. It’s something you have to listen to to believe. Trust me.

Favorite Episode: 34 – thirty let the bodies hit the four

2. Slow Burn

Everything you ever wanted to know about Watergate. I love podcasts that teach you something, and this one is perfect for that. There are so many complex sides to this story, and each episode focuses on a different aspect. I’m not as deep into this podcast yet as some of the others, but I was hooked straight away.

Favorite Episode: 1 – Martha

3. Someone Knows Something

Going outside of the US for this one, but it’s too good not to mention. Someone knows something is a true crime investigation week by week, with interviews and other super intriguing details. I also just love listening to the Canadian accents and something about them is enthralling.

Favorite Episode: Season 2 Episode 3 – Blondie

4. Modern Love

This podcast is beautiful and heartbreaking all at once. It features amazing essays written by listeners and writers alike, read aloud. Listen if you want to cry or simply experience something different than a lot of podcasts out there.

5. Serial

An oldie but a goodie. Serial was the first podcast that I ever listened to, and I was hooked instantly. I used to listen to season 1 at the gym about 2 years ago and loved how easy it was to get lost in the story. This podcast is so meticulously researched and leaves no stone unturned. I can’t say enough good things about it, so if you’re looking for a place to start with podcasts- this is the place!

Favorite Episode: all of them, but all of season one.

6. Gals On the Go

Brooke and Danielle are some of my favorite YouTube personalities, so obviously their podcast is going to make it onto this list. They’re open and honest, and listening to them feels like having a conversation with friends. I love they’re casual and homemade podcast vibe, and the fact that their content is so extremely relatable for college women. They’re also known to provide some really great tips to get (and stay) motivated in school.

Favorite Episode: Back to School & Getting into a Routine

What podcasts are you loving right now? I’m always on the hunt for new ones, so leave a comment!
