A belated post about my final weeks in Italy.
Weeks have passed and we’ve been lucky to experience some cool new places. I finished writing my 13 page fashion retail and marketing paper today, and I can really enjoy myself for my last week here in Florence!
Burano and Murano Islands
Only about an hour ferry trip from the main city of Venice, this hidden gem of an island is the most unique and colorful (obviously) place I’ve ever experienced. Walking around, I took in ever corner, every window and door, and fell in love with the homes and streets along the canals.
Venezia
Drinking Bellini in a gondola on the canals of Venice was such a truely amazing experience and definitely one of my favorite memories of the trip. Gondolas get a lot of flack for being overly tourist-y, but what would a trip to Venice be without a ride on one?
Our days in Venice were filled with walking, meuseums and long lines for the ferry. We stopped to visit St Marks Square, the Peggy Gugenheim Collection, a quaint family style restaurant, and so many other wonderful places.
Cinque Terre
Any words I write about Cinque Terre would most definitely fail to capture the beauty of these 5 villages. When I was planning my time in Italy, I wrote CINQUE TERRE in my journal and underlined it. It was my one nonnegotiable. I had to see it. Words can’t explain how glad I am that I was able to. I mean, just look at these pictures.
More photos are still filing in from the mess that is my iPhone camera roll, and will be uploaded soon, but until then, enjoy!
