Roma
I have officially been in Italy for a week, and what a week it has been. We started our tour in Rome, where we stayed a block away from the colloseum, and started learning some essential Italian words.
Rome was an ammalgamation of crazy 9 hour walking tours and nights spent eating some of the finest food (and vino) I’ve ever had in unique and quaint locations each night. Our first night in Rome, we ate at a restaurant that I believe was named La Biga, and had a direct veiw of the colloseum lit up in all it’s glory.

From Rome, we enjoyed a beautiful and dramatic bus ride to Florence. Our bus broke down in a tuscan village at a gas station – which will go down in history as having the best and cheapest wine in this fine country. Unfortunatly, drinking 3-euro prosecco at 1 PM is still frowned upon here. And probably in other places too.

Firenze
Our time in Florence began with a walk to some of the breathtaking sites we are lucky enough to be living in the middle of. I love the sounds of Florence. The chatter over macchiatos and the ringing of bicyle bells.
I feel like Florence is an friend I am just having the pleasure of getting to know. There are still so many side streets to stroll down, so many esspresso shots to drink, and so many sunsets to watch set over Ponte Vecchio. Oh, and also I have to go to class.

Next up, Pisa, Lucca and Verona. Until then, Ciao bellas!
