Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

I recently picked up the much talked about Estee Lauder Double Wear Makeup foundation online at Sephora.com, and I was so excited to try it. I bought the shade 1C1 – Cool Bone, which I’m pretty sure it the lightest shade you can buy. Luckily for me it matches perfectly to my super-pale mid winter skin.

The packaging is beautiful. The product comes in a small glass bottle which is semi-opaque. The glass bottle is relatively heavy, which I think is a trademark of higher end foundations. I love almost everything about the packaging except for the fact that it doesn’t have a pump.  I can’t stand foundations which don’t have pumps because I feel like its way less hygienic and it wastes more product! I’m going to look into buying a pump for this product.

Since I bought this foundation I’ve been using it religiously. I love the longevity of this product. When they say it’s long wearing, they mean it! Normally, I apply this foundation at 8:00 in the morning and take it off at 9:00 pm, and it remains looking fresh and flawless the whole time. I’ve even worn this product to the gym (I know, my skin hates me) and it remained intact!

I would classify this product as medium to full coverage. I have applied it with both a beauty blender and a brush, and I prefer the brush better for this product. The foundation doesn’t stick to dry patches (thank goodness) and is so easy to apply.

I paid $38.00 USD, and I honestly believe it is well worth the price. This product is now my go-to favorite foundation. Now I just have to pick up a shade for summer!

Have you tried this product? What did you think? Let me know!

xx
