Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette

We’re getting down to the wire here at college, and I feel like every project is due at once. I am going to try to write some more reviews on some of my favorite products to keep my blog more up to date.

Lately, I’ve been loving the look of neutral matte eyeshadow and black liquid eyeliner for the day time, and my number one palette has been Tarte’s Tartelette palette.

First, the packaging. I am obsessed with the look of this packaging. I love the purple color on the outside, and how elegant the palette name looks. Inside is a huge mirror, making the palette perfect for travel.

This palette has an amazing range of neutral, all matte colors. My favorite have been the top 2 colors on the lefthand side, in the lighter neutrals. I use the shade “Force of nature” in the crease and “free spirit” on the lid, blending them together with a fluffy blending brush. This is perfect for an everyday makeup look because its so quick and easy. For meetings or events at the end of the day, I pick on of the darker shades and apply it to the crease with a small blending brush, to deepen the crease further.

The shadows are smooth, but sometimes slightly chalky as with most matte eyeshadows. I haven’t noticed any issues with fallout and they are all very long lasting.

Some of the lighter colors might appear a bit sheer but I find them very buildable.

Overall a great palette to have in your collection if you love neutrals or are looking to step away from all things shiny for a bit!

What is your current go-to palette? Let me know!

xx
