Play! by Sephora #2

There are very few things I find more exciting to pick up from the mail room than Sephora boxes!

As I have previously mentioned in my skincare review, I subscribed to Play! by Sephora, and have been absolutely loving it. I, like many others, hate spending money on expensive products and then end up hating them. What better way to decide if you like something than trying it out before buying a full size?

This month, the theme of the box was “how to get dewy skin”, and it featured a range of skincare products, including a sheet mask, moisturiser, toner, face cleanser, cleansing sponge, tinted moisturiser, and a perfume sample.

As usual, the box also comes with the Play! book, telling you their recommended uses for each product, and tips and tricks for getting the most out of the product.

While I haven’t been able to try out all the products yet, there are a few that I have some thoughts on.

Firstly, the Boscia skincare set is great. I love this little root-sponge thing. I’ve never seen anything like it and I find it pretty interesting to use. Also, the cleanser has been working miracles. Im a huge supporter of charcoal based products.

However, I was less impressed by the sheet mask. Maybe it’s because I’m pretty new to the world of sheet masks. While I did find it extremely entertaining scaring my roommate, I didn’t like the feeling it left on my skin afterwards. My face felt sticky and instead of refreshed, kind of off! I’m sure there are other sheet masks that would suit my skin better but this one did not do it for me.

And finally the box comes with a card which you can use to book appointments at Sephora stores. I have yet to use mine because of my busy college schedule, but I’m hoping I’ll get a chance to over my break!

Have you tried any of these products? and what did you think? Let me know!
