End of Summer Makeup – soft and natural

I recently relocated to the New England area in the US, and arriving in late August, it is HOT. So I have the privilege of adapting an easy, casual go-to makeup look  to high humidity and profuse sweating.

The first and most important part of looking like you are not dying due to intense sweating and insane humidity, is having a flawless base. I used my Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation, in the shade Shell. This is a good, affordable, lightweight foundation that is perfect for hot weather and sun, as it has SPF. Overall, a worthwhile buy for those hotter months.

Next, I applied an all-over bronze glow, although I’m so pale the camera gets overwhelmed and doesn’t always pick this up. I used the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, the perfect shade for fair skin tones like myself. I love that I can apply this generously and it doesn’t look muddy. What more could you want??

I then dusted my usual combination of Benefit’s Dandelion Blush and MAC’s Soft & Gentle on my cheeks and cheekbones.

For eyes, I wanted to take a break from my winged eye liner drama (I know, unheard of on this blog) and opted for a neutral slightly shimmer eye with a couple of generous coats of mascara. I dusted Urban Decay’s Easy Baked all over the lid, and finished the eyes off with Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara on the top and bottom lashes. Super quick and easy!

Last but not least, brows. I filled mine in lightly with the Hourglass Brow Arch.
